Fun, busy week around the Google Lunar X PRIZE! Some great rover pieces, in particular :) Here’s the scoop, including items from 8 different teams!:
- Team Astrobotic put their Red Rover through it’s first test on simulated lunar terrain! (They also posted a preview, complete with neat photo, earlier in the week)
- Team SELENE posted a detailed look at their testing of a rocket car concept! They also posted video of their Mosquito Rover :)
- Team SYNERGY MOON posted renderings of their Tesla Prospector concept!
- Team Euroluna has started a contest—submit ideas for really small items (e.g. grain of rice) to send to the Moon, and you could win a nifty t-shirt :)
- Team C-Base Open Moon posted a video recapping their experiences at LinuxTag 2010!
- Team Part-Time Scientists posted a bunch of neat photos from ILA 2010 :)
- Team White Label Space posted a video on their CAD work on camera positioning.
- The official GLXP Launch Pad blog posted about the Global Lunar Conference!
- Will Pomerantz of the GLXP did a live Open Q+A!
